One of the most exotic places in Himachal Pradesh is Parashar Lake Trek. It is a beautiful lake with blue waters having a good secret. The enchanting surroundings of this lake will simply leave you spellbound with their views.
Parashar Lake trek is a short trek that takes you across breathtaking landscapes and forests. You will come across the huge snow-covered mountains on this trek. Parashar trek gives a view of the local culture of Himachal Pradesh. Trekkers will get panoramic views of the different mountain ranges such as Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar.
This region is full of different types of plantations such as pine, oak, apple orchid groves, and rhododendrons. Parashar Lake is a famous place connected to the legend of Mahabharat when Bhima created this beautiful lake while returning from Kurukshetra. This region is also famous for a local temple known as Prashar Rishi which has amazing landscapes.
It is a beautiful journey to go through the dense forests and Crystal Rivers. Parashar Lake Trek is one of the most fascinating trips to visit for every trekker.
The ideal time to visit this trek is between December to March. The weather is pleasant during these months and you can enjoy the views of NO kept landscapes. This region experiences summer between April and June when you can see the attractive wildflowers blooming in this region.
Trekkers who want to experience snow can visit this trek between December and February. The whole region of Parashar Lake is covered with a thick blanket of snow. Avoid going for this trek between July and September as you may face slippery trails due to heavy rains.
On day 1, we will meet at Mandi as it is the starting point of our trek. After meeting at this point, we will introduce you to our team members and explain some important things about this trek. Our team leaders will provide tips for the trek. From Mandi, we will start our journey by car to reach Bagi.
The road to Bagi is simply great with surreal landscapes and nature spots. This road is full of steep ascent with the valley on the right side. We will traverse through dense forests of rhododendron. After traveling for some time, the road becomes smooth. Soon, we will view the giant Dhauadhar Ranges. We will get down to this spot to capture some photos of this mountain range.
As we move further on this road, we will go through an oak forest. This route ascends gradually and leads us to a jungle. We will reach Baggi after crossing the jungle path of around 1 km. From this point, we have to trek to reach Prashar Lake.
It is necessary to have all the essentials to reach Prashar Lake. Carry enough water as there are very few water points to fill the water bottle. We will cross the small path of the river to walk on the steep slope. After walking on these steep routes, we will soon view the beautiful meadows.
On the way, you will enjoy the local culture of Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. We will reach Prashar Lake by evening. Then we will have a hot cup of tea and relax in our tents. Our night stay will be at a campsite near Prashar Lake. We will enjoy the star gazing at night and hot dinner. After dinner, we will take a good sleep.
On day 2, we will start our trek from Prashar Lake campsite after breakfast. We have to follow the same route as on day 1. From Prashar Lake, we will start trekking to reach Bagi. Once again, we will travel through rivers and dense forests of oak on our way to Bagi. Fill the bottles with water to avoid lack of water on the route.’
By noon, we will reach Bagi and have lunch. We will spend some time at Bagi and take photographs of nearby landscapes. Then we will start driving from Bagi to reach Mandi. Enjoy the car drive through the beautiful forests on the way to Mandi. We will reach Mandi by evening.
After reaching Mandi, we will meet for the last time before departing on our journeys. We will depart with a smile on our faces hoping to meet again in the future.

A. The average temperature during the daytime is between 13 and 18 degrees Celsius. At night, the temperature will drop from 0 degrees Celsius to -7 degrees.

A. After Mandi, you will not receive mobile connectivity. You must make your all-important calls before reaching Mandi. You will not find any charging points in this region.
