Best time for Ladakh Bike Trip

The best time for a bike trip to Ladakh is during the end of the June till first week of September. During this time, the weather is good and clear with good roads and clear temperature which makes it suitable for a bike ride and in winters generally Ladakh trips from Manali route are closed, because all high passes are full packed of snow due to heavy snowfall in winters. June  to mid September is one of the best time for a Ladakh bike trip from Manali. The weather is generally clear, June marks the beginning of the tourist season in Ladakh. The snow starts melting, and most of the passes open up for Leh riders. and the roads are mostly in good condition and it's the peak tourist season, so expect more crowds. the weather and temperatures can vary significantly depending on the specific month and altitude of destination.

Day 01: Delhi to Manali Overnight at Volvo Bus

  • Altitude: 2,050m
  • Drive Distance: 560 kms
  • Drive Duration: 12 hours

On the first day of the tour, we will start from Delhi to Manali trip. It is a 12-hour ride by an overnight Volvo Bus. Broza Adventures will provide tickets for the Delhi to Manali route in AC/Non-AC Volvo bus, as per your booking, overnight journey to Manali.

Day 02: Arrive in Manali freshen up and Ride to Jispa via Solang Valley and Atal Tunnel

  • Altitude: 2,050 to 3,200 m
  • Riding Distance: 100 kms
  • Riding Duration: 4 hours approx

You will reach Manali on day 2 morning after reaching Manali checks in to the guest house for fresh up. After breakfast at 11 noon, we will brief you a little about the bike journey. Once you are on the bike, leave all your worries behind and get ready for a great adventure. On this day, we will ride our bikes towards Jispa. enjoy scenic beauty of Solang Valley, Atal tunnel and Sissu on the way to Jispa. After reaching Jispa, you will get some time to spend time with the fellow travellers and after dinner at night, we will sleep in our Camps. 

Sarchu

Day 03: Jispa- Baralacha Pass- Sarchu

  • Altitude: 3,200 m to 4,201 m
  • Riding Distance: 90 km
  • Riding Duration: 6 to 7 hours

On Day 3, we will start our day early with a good breakfast. We will keck off our bike from Jispa to reach Sarchu. This is going to be a long day filled with Adventures and bike ride. While you are on your bike moving towards Sarchu, we will cross through the Baralacha Pass which is high altitude Pass from where you can see a breathtaking view of the whole location. Moving forward for some more hours, we will reach the Sarchu Sarchu divides Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh into two equal parts. As a result, you will face some challage in this day of bike trip. Sarchu is at an altitude of 14300 feet. by evening time  we will reach Sarchu. This evening will again be filled with fun, laughter and hot dinner before we finally retire for the night in our camps.

Day 04: Sarchu- Pang Ground- Tanglang La- Leh 

  • Altitude: 4,201 m to 3,500 m
  • Riding Distance: 253 kms
  • Riding Duration: 10 hours 

On Day 4 after breakfast get ready for another 10-hour bike ride from Sarchu to Leh, This journey is going to be the most exciting bike journey ever because the landscapes and the location that you see are breathtaking. During the bike tour to Leh, you will pass through the famous Pang Ground and Tanglang La which is known to be the secound highest motorable pass. If it is your first long tour on a motorcycle you may face some challenges on the way to Leh. But 

 the whole journey is something you will remember throughout your life since it cannot be expressed in words. The ride will take approx 10 hours and we will reach Leh by the evening time and you can explore Leh city by your own, Have dinner at night and overnight stay in hotel.

Day 05: Leh- Khardungla Pass- Nubra Valley

  • Altitude: 3,500 m to 5,359 m to 3,048 m
  • Riding Distance: 130 kms
  • Riding Duration: 6 hours

On Day 5 after breakfast we will cover Khardungla Pass and finally reach Nubra Valley. It is a 130 Km long ride taking around 6 hours from Leh. 

As you reach Khardungla Pass at a height of 5359 meters, the amount of oxygen level will gradually low. Therefore, we will ensure that you are well-equipped to adjust to the circumstances. Mostly, you will see barren mountainous regions on both sides. Gradually, you will come to a deep valley. The white tips, in our journey towards the Nubra Valley. During the bike ride, you will come across yet another famous motorable pass which is Khardungla. Khardung La pass offers great landscape view and you can also click some pictures here. Reaching Khardungla Pass is an achievement in itself since it is at a really high altitude.

We will reach Nubra Valley by evening, you can go around the local market and finally head for the dinner and an Overnight stay at the Nubra Valley.

Day 06: Nubra- Shyok- Pangong Lake

  • Altitude: 3,048 m to 4,350 m
  • Riding Distance: 160 kms
  • Riding Duration: 6 hours 

On Day 6  of your trip will involve a motorbike ride towards Pangong Lake. The total distance between Nubra and Pangong Lake is around 160 Km from the Shyok route. It is an adventurous spot and you can feel the thrill once you take this amazing route. The splendid sparkles of the lake's water will be the biggest reward as you cover this distance.

This route will again offer you some panoramic Views of the whole nature which you will definately love.

Shyok is a beautiful water body, and one of the most significant rivers of Ladakh. This tributary of the Indus River is famous because of the terrain it passes through. It will be easier to reach Pangong Lake by passing this lovely river on your way. Have a fabulous day at this place. After almost 6-7 hours of ride, we will reach the Pangong Lake by the evening time. Pangong is a beautiful and a calm Lake which is totally blue in color. Also, the Lake was shown in the most famous bollywood movie which is 'Three Idiots'. We will stay Overnight near the Lake in camp.

Day 07: Pangong- Changla Pass- Leh

  • Altitude: 4,350 m to 3,500 m
  • Riding Distance: 160 kms
  • Riding Duration: 5 hours

On Day 7, we will begin our bike ride to Leh, the return journey from Pangong via the Changla Pass. It takes only 5 hours to reach Leh . We will leave Pangong Lake early in the morning to head back to Leh. While heading back to the Leh, you will cross  the Chang La Pass which is again one of the most adventurous motorable pass. While riding, you will get a spectacular view of the whole region. finally we will reach Leh by the evening time and take some good rest as the next day will gain be a long day after meal.

Day 08: Leh- Sarchu- Jispa

  • Altitude: 3,500 m to 3,200 m
  • Riding Distance: 300 kms 
  • Riding Duration: 9 hours

On Day 8, since we are going backwards again, we will start our journey to reach Jispa taking the Sarchu. Day 8 is going to be a long day so we need to start early so as to be on our schedule. The temperature will drastically change and become warmer as you come near Jispa. It will be almost evening as you arrive at Jispa.

 We will arrive Jispa by the late evening time and finally spend the time here after dinner and fun at night.

Day 09: Jispa- Sissu- Manali Overnight Journey to Delhi in Volvo

  • Altitude: 2, 050 m to 300 m.
  • Distance: 560 kms
  • Duration: 12 hours

Day 9 is going to be the last day of our journey. Early morning, we will start our ride from Jispa taking the Sissu road to finally reach Manali. Sissu is a spectacular hamlet located in the lap of Nature on the way to Manali. It offers multiple trails for hikers and ensures captivating spots for bike rides. The stunning vista overlooking the rivers and mountainsOnce we reach Manali, we will get a Volvo arranged for you and reach Delhi Overnight. During the journey we will engage in lots of happiness and fun during the Leh Ladakh bike trip. 

Day 10: Morning Arrive at Delhi

After an Overnight Journey, we are finally in Delhi and in Delhi, our journey concludes. You will leave with lots of memories with strangers who turned your friends now.
